6-7. THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT (CONT).

Installation.
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing
compounds can burn easily, can
give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To
avoid injury or death, keep away
from open fire and use in well-
ventilated area. If adhesive,
solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.
NOTE
Install cable ties as required.
(1)
Coat threads of two plugs (36) with sealing
compound.
(2)
Install two plugs (36) in left and right
thermostat housings (6) and (17).
NOTE
Lip on seal ring faces installer.
(3)
Position seal ring on installer and handle
and install seal ring (35) in left and right
thermostat housings (6) and (17) until fully
seated.
