Remove nut (32), washer (33), insulator (34)
and preformed packing (35) from field coil
stud (9). Discard preformed packing.

Position commuter end housing (25) in vise.
(14)
Remove four screws (36), lockwashers (37),
washers (38), brush holders (21) and
jumpers (39) from mounting posts (40) of
commutator end housing (25). Discard
lockwashers.
(15)
Remove 12 washers (41) and four
bushings (42) from brush holders (21).
(16)
Turn commutator end housing (25) over in
vise.
(17)
Remove nut (43), washer (44), two
washers (45), washer (46) and insulator (47)
from ground stud (7).
(18)
Remove ground stud (7), washer (48),
washer (49), two preformed packings (50)
and bushing (51) from commutator end
housing (25). Discard preformed packings.
