16-5. ERECTION CYLINDER REPLACEMENT.
Ensure boom is fully supported by the LHS hook. Failure to support boom with LHS hook
will cause boom to drop and may result in serious injury or death to personnel.

Position boom (1) on LHS hook (2).
The crane hydraulic system operates at oil pressures up to 3,100 psi (21,375 kPa). Never
disconnect any hydraulic line or fitting without first dropping the pressure to zero. Failure
to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Tag and mark hydraulic hoses and tubes before disconnecting.
Cap and plug hydraulic hoses and fittings after disconnecting.

Disconnect two hoses (3) and remove preformed packings (4) from elbows (5). Discard preformed
packings.
