Position polarity protection and alternator
wire harness (37) in truck.

Remove nut (32) and washer (34) from 12
volt terminal (36).
(17)
Install wire 1274 (38), washer (34),
lockwasher (33) and nut (32) on 12 volt
terminal (36).
(18)
Tighten nut (32) to 15 lb-ft (20 N.m).
(19)
Remove nut (24), washer (26), washer(s), if
present, (27), and fuse link (28) with
insulator washer (29) from 24 volt terminal
(31).
(20)
Install wire 1281A (39), fuse link (28) with
insulator washer (29), washer(s), if
removed, (27), washer (26), lockwasher
(25) and nut (24) on 24 volt terminal (31).
(21)
Tighten nut (24) to 15 lb-ft (20 N.m).

compounds can burn easily, can
give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To
avoid injury or death, keep away
from open fire and use in a
well-ventilated area. If adhesive,
solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.

Apply electrical sealant to 24 volt terminal
(31) and 12 volt terminal (36).
