18-12. REMOTE ENGINE OIL FILTER KIT INSTALLATION (CONT).
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing
compounds can burn easily, can
give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To
avoid injury or death, keep away
from open fire and use in a
well-ventilated area. If adhesive,
solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.
NOTE
Ensure threads on adapters and
engine oil filter manifold are
clean and free of oil and grease.

Apply sealing compound to threads of
adapter (9).
NOTE
Adapter in Step (8) is installed in
upper port marked “OUT” facing
down.

Install adapter (9) on engine oil filter
manifold (1).
(9)
Install hose 2830 (10) to adapter (9) and
hose 2831 (11) to adapter (2).

Position hoses 2830 (10) and 2831 (11)
under front crossmember (12).
(11)
Remove two locknuts (13) and screws (14)
from hydraulic pump support (15). Discard
locknuts.
