Install thrust washer (16) and front sun
gear (17) in transmission housing (3).

Soak clutch plates (6) and (7) in hydraulic
oil for minimum of two minutes.

Alternately install seven external-tanged
clutch plates (6) and six internal-splined
plates (7) so thin external-tanged plate is
first.
Use care when installing
retaining rings. Retaining rings
are under tension and can act as
projectiles when released
causing injury to personnel.
Use care when installing
retaining ring so not to scratch
center support area of
transmission housing. Scratches
cause difficulty when installing
center support which can result
in component damage.

Install retaining ring (5) on transmission
housing (3).
