4-52. MULTIFUNCTION VALVE REPLACEMENT (CONT).

Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off harmful vapors

and are harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep away from open fire

and use in a well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound gets on skin or

clothing, wash immediately with soap and water.

Use sealing compound sparingly and only on threads. Do not apply compound on hose

connections. Damage to equipment may result.

Apply sealing compound on threads of

elbow (8).

Install elbow (8) on adapter (27).

Apply sealing compound on threads of

adapter (27).

Install adapter (27) on valve (20).

Apply sealing compound on threads of

fitting (16).

Install fitting (16) on valve (20).

Apply sealing compound on threads of

fitting (15).

Install fitting (15) on valve (20).

Position four washers (25), spacers (24),

washers (23) and mounts (22) on studs (26).

Apply sealing compound on top of four

studs (26).

Position multifunction valve (20) on

bracket (21) with four mounts (19),

washers (18) and locknuts (17).
