Drawbar shaft weighs 187 lbs (85 kg). Attach a suitable lifting device prior to removal to

prevent possible injury to personnel.

Remove pin assembly (3) from tube assembly (4).

Attach lifting device to tube assembly (4).

With the aid of an assistant, steady tube assembly (4) while pulling tube assembly out of drawbar

structure (1).

Using lifting device, lower tube assembly (4).

NOTE

Perform Steps (10) and (11) if replacing tube assembly.

Remove drawbar lift handles (8) and tow ring (9) (Para 4-59).
