3-5. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION SEPARATION (CONT).

Remove locknut (27), screw (28) and
clips (29) and (30) from left cradle (31).
Discard locknut.
(13)
Remove six screws (32) and lockwashers (33)
from left cradle (31). Discard lockwashers.
(14)
Remove two screws (34) and
lockwashers (35) from left cradle (31).
Discard lockwashers.
Ensure cradle is fully supported
upon removal of four screws and
lockwashers or cradle may fall
and cause injury to personnel.
(15)
With the aid of an assistant, remove four
screws (36), lockwashers (37) and left
cradle (31) from transmission (21).
Discard lockwashers.
(16)
Remove six screws (32) and lockwashers
(33) from right cradle (38). Discard four
lockwashers.
(17) Remove two screws (34) and lockwashers (35) from right cradle (38). Discard lockwashers.
Ensure cradle is fully supported upon removal of four screws and lockwashers or cradle may
fall and cause injury to personnel.
(18) With the aid of an assistant, remove four screws (36), lockwashers (37) and right cradle (38) from
transmission (21). Discard lockwashers.
