Installation.
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing
compounds can burn easily, can
give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To
avoid injury or death, keep away
from open fire and use in well-
ventilated area. If adhesive,
solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and
water.
(1)
Apply sealing compound to drain cock (24).
(2)
Install drain cock (24) in oil cooler (10).
(3)
Install gasket (23) and oil cooler core (22) in
oil cooler (10).
NOTE
Two screws are installed in oil
cooler in Step (4) for ease of
alignment during installation of
oil cooler.
(4)
Position two lockwashers (17) and
screws (16) in oil cooler (10).
(5)
Apply light coat of grease on gasket (21).
(6)
Install gasket (21) on oil cooler (10).
(7)
Apply grease to gasket (18).
(8)
Position gasket (18) on oil cooler (10).
(9)
Install seal (20) on water outlet (15).
(10)
Position clamp (14) over seal (20).
