6-3. ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY REPAIR (200 AMP) (CONT).

Install three fan guard bushings (10), fan
guard (9), three washers (8) and
self-locking bolts (7). Torque bolts to 65
lb-in (7 Nm).
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing
compounds can burn easily, can
give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To
avoid injury or death, keep away
from open fire and use in a
well-ventilated area. If adhesive,
solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.

Apply sealing compound to threads of two
screws (3).
(27)
Install regulator (6) on alternator (2) with
washers (5), lockwashers (4), and two
screws (3).
(28)
Connect connector (1) to alternator (2).
