OPERATION
NOTE
During all vehicle operations, the operator will drive and be responsible for the operation of
the LHS cab control box. The assistant acts as a ground guide and will be responsible for
directing the operator using hand signals, operating the remote control box and winch, and
assisting the operator as needed.
1.
Position rear of vehicle about 16 ft (5 m) in front of where the rear of the BAP is to be set on the ground. Refer
to TM 9-2320-435-10 or TM 9-2320-425-10.
NOTE
Dashboard parking brake indicator will illuminate when PARKING BRAKE control is applied.
2.
Pull out PARKING BRAKE control (Figure 1, Item 1) or apply service brake pedal (Figure 1, Item 2).

Set transmission range selector (Figure 1, Item 3) to N (neutral).
4.
Secure winch frame to the BAP. Ensure two winch frame locking levers (Figure 2, Item 4) are in the up position.
