OPERATION - Continued
WARNING
Always wear protective gloves when handling winch cable. Never let cable run through
hands. Frayed cables can cut severely. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or
death to personnel.
Never operate winch with less than five wraps of cable on winch drum. Failure to comply
may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
Do not move the CBT until the bridge bay has been fully loaded into the water from the
vehicle. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
21.
Remove winch cable hook (Figure 11, Item 16) from stationary bay lifting eye (Figure 11, Item 17).
CAUTION
Ensure hook holder is stowed in saddle. Failure to comply may result in damage to hook.
22.
While assistant maintains tension on winch cable, position WINCH switch (Figure 12, Item 18) to IN. Release
when hook holder (Figure 12, Item 30) is in saddle (Figure 12, Item 31).
