11.
To raise and move hook arm toward the BAP, move joystick (Figure 3, Item 11) to UNLOAD and hold.
12.
Release joystick (Figure 3, Item 11) when hook arm completes its full movement rearward.
13.
Set HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to OFF position.
14.
Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 3, Item 9) to MAN MAIN FRAME.
15.
Set HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to ON position.
NOTE
When LHS hook moves below level of BAP bail bar, release joystick.
16.
To raise and move main frame toward the BAP, move joystick (Figure 3, Item 11) to UNLOAD and hold.
17.
Set HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to OFF position.
NOTE
Dashboard parking brake indicator will go out when PARKING BRAKE control is released.
18.
Push in PARKING BRAKE control (Figure 3, Item 4) or release service brake pedal (Figure 3, Item 5).
NOTE
Have an assistant function as a ground guide.
19.
Back up vehicle until aligned with the BAP.
20.
Ensure LHS lifting hook tip (Figure 3, Item 12) is slightly below and in line with the middle of the BAP bail bar
(Figure 3, Item 13).
21.
Apply service brake pedal (Figure 3, Item 5) and set transmission range selector (Figure 3, Item 6) to N
(neutral).
22.
Move joystick (Figure 3, Item 11) to LOAD until LHS lifting hook (Figure 3, Item 12) engages BAP bail bar
(Figure 3, Item 13).
23.
If LHS hook (Figure 3, Item 12) and BAP bail bar (Figure 3, Item 13) are not properly aligned, perform the
following steps:
a.
Move vehicle away from the BAP.
b.
Repeat Steps (5) through (22).
24.
Install bail bar lock (Figure 3, Item 14) on LHS lifting hook (Figure 3, Item 12) with pin (Figure 3, Item 15) and
lockpin (Figure 3, Item 16).
25.
Set HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to ON position.
26.
Release service brake pedal (Figure 3, Item 5).
27.
Move joystick (Figure 3, Item 11) to LOAD.
28.
Ensure BAP runners engage LHS rear rollers by steering vehicle under BAP as BAP rises.
29.
Apply service brake pedal (Figure 3, Item 5) when BAP runners contact LHS rear rollers.
30.
Move joystick (Figure 3, Item 11) to LOAD and release when main frame is fully stopped.
31.
Set HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to OFF position.
32.
Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (Figure 3, Item 9) to MAN HOOK ARM.
33.
Set HIGH IDLE switch (Figure 3, Item 10) to ON position.
