MANUALLY REMOVING LOAD DURING HYDRAULIC POWER LOSS

PERFORM PROCEDURE
CAUTION
If LHS system on disabled vehicle is not in fully stowed position (transport position), remove
hydraulic tank cap from operable vehicle prior to starting the task to allow excess hydraulic
oil to drain. Failure to comply may result in damage to hydraulic tank or hydraulic system.
NOTE
This procedure can only be used if there are no leaks or breaks in the hydraulic system.
This procedure is used to remove the load from a vehicle with a failed hydraulic pump or
other failure which prevent operation of the hydraulic system.
Each vehicle is equipped with one hydraulic slave hose. Two hoses (one from each
vehicle) are required to perform slave hydraulic procedures. Locate and remove hoses
from stowage boxes of vehicles.

Move vehicles into position so LHS control box (Figure 1, Item 1) on both vehicles are side by side.

Park both vehicles. Refer to TM 9-2320-435-10 or TM 9-2320-425-10.
3.
Shut off engine on both vehicles. Refer to TM 9-2320-435-10 or TM 9-2320-425-10.
