Set multimeter to ohms position.
3.
Set EMERGENCY STOP switch to ON position. (WP 0004)
4.
Have assistant hold WINCH switch in IN position.
NOTE
A reading of infinity indicates an open circuit.
5.
Place negative (-) probe of multimeter on position E of remote control unit connector J9
(Figure 4).
6.
Place positive (+) probe of multimeter on position L of remote control unit connector J9 (Figure 4).
Check multimeter for continuity.
7.
Move negative (-) probe of multimeter on position F of remote control unit connector J9
(Figure 4). Check multimeter for continuity.
a.
If continuity is not present at one or both readings, repair remote control unit. (WP 0067)
b.
If continuity is present at both readings, proceed to next Malfunction.
MALFUNCTION
Remote Control Cable is Faulty.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
CAUTION
Electrical power must be shut OFF from circuit before continuity can be checked.
Failure to comply with this caution may result in damage to test equipment or
electrical system.
1.
Disconnect remote control cable from components.
2.
Set multimeter to ohms position.
