INSTALLATION
WARNING
The winch assembly without cable installed weighs approximately 350 pounds (158.9 kg).
Winch must be secured by a suitable lifting device before removing or installing mounting
hardware. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
1.
With the aid of an assistant and using lifting device, lift winch assembly (Figure 6, Item 29) into position on
winch frame (Figure 6, Item 15), and ensure all four mounting pads (Figure 6, Item 33) of winch assembly
(Figure 6, Item 29) are flush with winch frame (Figure 6, Item 15) mounting surface.

Install winch assembly (Figure 6, Item 29) on winch frame (Figure 6, Item 15) with four bolts (Figure 6, Item
30), lockwashers (Figure 6, Item 31), and nuts (Figure 6, Item 32). Remove lifting device.
NOTE
Reuse the 8 long bolts that supported pivot plates from old winch assembly during installation.
3.
Remove four bolts (Figure 7, Item 27) temporarily reinstalled in winch assembly (Figure 7, Item 29) during
removal. Install four bolts (Figure 7, Item 27) and new lockwashers (Figure 7, Item 28) and pivot plate (Figure
7, Item 22) on winch assembly (Figure 7, Item 29). Install other pivot plate (Figure 7, Item 22) in the same
manner.
