MALFUNCTION
Air Cylinders are Faulty.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
NOTE
Front pin locks will not release if air cylinders are frozen or binding.
Pull and release curb-side and road-side latch handles to extend and contract air cylinders
(Figure 7).

If air cylinders do not extend or contract or move slowly and bind, perform the following:
(1)
Replace air cylinders. (WP 0052)
(2)
Install air cylinder guard to road-side front pin lock with two screws and lockwashers
(Figure 7).
(3)
Install air cylinder guard to curb-side front pin lock with two screws and lockwashers
(Figure 7).
(4)
Verify problem is corrected.
b.
If air cylinders extend and contract smoothly, perform the following:
(1)
Install air cylinder guard to road-side front pin lock with two screws and lockwashers
(Figure 7).
(2)
Install air cylinder guard to curb-side front pin lock with two screws and lockwashers
(Figure 7).
(3)
Verify problem is corrected.
