NOTE
Match-mark end cover and its location on the winch so end cover can be installed at the same
angle as when removed.

Remove end cover (Figure 3, Item 25) from final housing (Figure 3, Item 26).

Remove O-ring (Figure 3, Item 27), stopper (Figure 3, Item 28), and sungear stopper (Figure 3, Item 29) from
end cover (Figure 3, Item 25). Discard O-ring.
4.
Remove final sungear shaft (Figure 3, Item 30) and final drive planetary gear (Figure 3, Item 31) from final
housing (Figure 3, Item 26).
WARNING
Wear safety goggles and use caution when removing or installing springs, snaprings,
retaining rings, and other parts under spring tension. These parts are under tension and can
act as projectiles when released. Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to
personnel.
5.
Remove snapring (Figure 3, Item 32) and bearing retainer (Figure 3, Item 33) from final housing (Figure 3,
Item 26).
